Parking

Smith Rock State Park is a day-use only area, open dawn to dusk.  The $5 parking fee (per vehicle) can be purchased at any of the yellow pay machines in the parking areas.  You can pay with credit card or exact bills; change is not provided.  The three main parking areas are within a one mile stretch along the park road, NE Crooked River Drive.  There is also a gravel overflow lot near the end of the road that is open on extra busy days.  The only parking for RV's, busses or trailers is in the large central lot, signed as "RV/Bus parking".

Any of the parking areas offer access down into the canyon, to the rock and trails beyond, or you can stay on the rim for an easy stroll.

The large circular paved parking area visible center-right on the Live Cam is the RV/Bus parking area.  If this lot is full, it means the park is having a particularly busy day.
